As I’ve been doing P90X and really trying to be absolutely healthy for 90 days straight, I have said “no” to many things that are huge temptations for me. A few thoughts that make it easier for me are “This will not be the last chocolate chip cookie offer I will ever receive!”, “The Cheesecake Factory won’t stop making cheesecake!” and “I can do ANYTHING for 90 days; it’s only 90 days!”. To help my positive thinking, I just tell myself after my “diet” I can have _insert unhealthy item here_, while secretly hoping I just won’t even want it by then. However in the back of my mind I’m slightly scared that I will forget all of these things I’ve said “no” to, and won’t ever really get to eat them. So to help quell the slightly unreasonable fears of my unhealthy half, I’ve decided to create a list of the items I’ve denied, but really wanted.
Fry’s has THE BEST red velvet cupcakes, which I sadly long for as I pass by the bakery each week.
To top off my Fry’s temptations, they sent me a coupon in the mail for a *free* package of Oreos!
$0.25 sodas at work…
Pei Wei Spicy Chicken. SO freaking delicious, SO many calories. 1400 calories for the whole dish!
List to be continued!
It is difficult to swear off treats forever. I would suggest that maybe after your 90 days you can eat healthy Monday to Saturday but then allow Sunday to be a eat whatever you want day. Except for addictive substances like soda, I would just suggest swearing off that stuff forever. Here is some motivation:
