A couple months ago we passed by some games at Costco and this National Geographic Adventure Collection (10 puzzles) totally caught our eye. We’ve been trying to be more creative in coming up with stay at home date night ideas, so this was perfect! The National Geographic puzzle set comes with 10 different stunning puzzles, ranging from 300 to 1,000 pieces. They come in nifty little Ziplock bags and the back of each puzzle is color coded for easy sorting in case they get jumbled up.
I hadn’t done a large puzzle in…well, ever, I don’t think. My excitement was childlike really. I couldn’t wait to unwrap this bad boy and get going! We decided to start with one of the 300 piece puzzles since I’m a complete puzzle newb (and honestly I didn’t think my attention span could handle much more than that). We played some chillaxin music and quietly worked together. I discovered David is actually really great at puzzles. When I would give up on a section because 47 pieces looked exactly the same, he would steadily work at it until the section was complete. It really was such a great stay at home date night; it was relaxing, peaceful, and we spent some real quality time together.
I’m so excited to do the rest of the puzzles too. What do you guys normally do for stay at home date nights?
