I was looking through pictures and realized I never posted our Valentine’s Date! Honestly, it’s been so long since then (hey, three and a half months is packed full of craziness when you have two toddlers) I don’t even remember if this was really a date for Valentine’s Day, or even what we did after dinner. That might partly have to do with the wine you see pictured here, but let’s just pretend it doesn’t.
I do remember that we went to this gorgeous Tuscan Grille and ate some amazing food. It started with some Santa Ema Sauvignon Blanc. You know, I heard recently that if you finish a glass of wine before your meal arrives at a restaurant, you are that much more likely to buy a second glass. I had never thought about it before, but waiters sure know! And it’s so true.
Anyway, we had a Bruschetta Sampler that had the best bruschetta I’ve ever tasted, kinds you wouldn’t even think to put together. There was sliced steak, gorgonzola, arugula, charred tomato with Italian dressing. There was one with artichokes, another was a chilled tomato caprese; it was just amazing OK! We wrapped up dinner with Artichoke Crusted Beef Medallions, and oh, were they divine!
What do you guys normally do for special date nights?? I’m always looking for more date ideas.
XOXO – Bri
